I have just spent three fabulous days at a seminar hosted by David Rocks’ organization, Results Coaches learning on how to become an even better coach. At the end of the three days, a fabulous opportunity came up, one that is win-win and one that will allow you to achieve a goal - without having to spend a single cent. What you will need to do is to bring to the table your commitment and time.
I am extending this offer to those of you that are passionate and committed to succeeding as traders and are feeling stuck - you are finding that your dream is as elusive as ever.
Before I make the offer, let me provide a background.
The course is sanctioned by the International Coaching Federation. The attendees need to complete a specified number of coaching hours to be accredited i.e. they need to complete these hours if they are to be eligible to sit for their coaching exam. So, they are looking for persons willing to be coached…
1. in the formation of goals and
2. in the design of the strategies, actions and habits to achieve them.
Here’s an aside: I found the attendees at the seminar passionate and committed to succeed. This is good news for you, the volunteers: because this means you have a group of people who not only have a vested interest in your success but more importantly are committed and passionate to helping you attain it. This means: in return for your time and commitment, you will receive one-one focused attention targeted to helping you secure your dream.
To help you decide, let me give you a description of the process:
* The entire program consists of 12 weekly sessions that are usually about 60 minutes but can be up to 90 minutes.
* You will have some work to do outside the sessions.
* You need not volunteer for the whole program; you can opt for only one session. You determine the number of sessions you are willing to attend.
My recommendation is you volunteer for one session to ensure you and the coach are a good fit. After session one, if you are comfortable with the coach, you can opt for, say four sessions (it need not be four; you choose the number of sessions), to ensure the fit is there. After the end of these additional sessions you will be able to decide if the coach is for you.
Before I tell you the offer, I’d like to clarify two points:
1. There is a difference between a coach and a mentor: a mentor is a coach who has personal skill and knowledge of the area of coaching i.e. he can supply both the process and the detail. A coach is a person who has the process but not the detail; the ‘coachee’ supplies the detail. In my courses, I spend time in laying the foundation for setting and achieving goals. If you are stuck and if I were mentoring you, I would start with this area. My fees for 2-year mentor program are A$28,000.00. I would estimate the goal setting section to be worth around A$8,000.00. You are receiving an opportunity to receive this for ‘no dollar cost’! Your only investment is time and commitment. A great deal in my view. I wish someone had offered this to me when I started trading.
2. The area need not be trading. Indeed, you will be given the opportunity to select any area you want.
So with the background info out of the way here’s the deal:
* In return for your commitment and passion for your own success, you will receive free coaching in the setting of goals, and free coaching in the creation of the actions and habits that will attain your desired outcome. The entire program is 12-weeks. It involves weekly meetings (in person or by other means) for 60 minutes to 90 minutes. It will also involve some time for ‘homework’ additional to the weekly meetings.
* You need not volunteer for the whole 12-weeks initially; you must volunteer for at least one session. If you volunteer for one session, you will decide at the end of session-one if you want more sessions and how many.
